**Phil displays his showmanship with a variety of fast-paced acts --all performed at the gallop. Using specially loaded, audience-safe, blank cartridges in his Colt .45s, he performs several stunts of daring-do that harken back to the days of the old-time Wild West shows. Shooting at aerial targets, thrown high in the air by his ground crew, or firing at balloon targets on either side of him as he races past them are truly spectacles to witness. FLASHING SWORDS AND LANCES!

**Also offered as part of Phil Spangenberger's rough riding exhibition is the dangerous and breathtaking "Californio Vaquero" routine, where he handles a sword and a 9-foot long cavalry lance with the skill and ease of the California and Arizona horsemen of our early southwest. With a name known and respected among firearm buffs and western fans worldwide, he's also in demand as a contributing author for other popular periodicals, both in and outside of the U.S.

**Because of his knowledge, coupled with his ability with firearms and horses, Spangenberger is often called upon for assistance by motion picture, television, and other media productions. As an entertainer, he's appeared in TV commercials, feature films, and several network shows like NBC's "Entertainment Tonight," and has made several appearances on TNN's "American Shooter." Phil has also been featured in such television documentaries as the History Channel's "Tales of The Gun", A&E's highly rated four-hour mini-series "The Story of the Gun," and the popular series "The Real West" hosted by Kenny Rogers.

GUN COACH TO THE STARS!

**Behind the scenes, Spangenberger has served as technical advisor, gunleather supplier, and firearms instructor to the stars of several of today's hottest western and action films. It was Phil who gave Mel Gibson's "Maverick" character his six-gun dazzle and flash and he coached Mel and co-star Heath Ledger for "The Patriot". Likewise, he's worked with Will Smith in "Wild Wild West", Tom Berenger in the TNT movie, "Avenging Angel," Patrick Swayzee and Catherine O'Hara in the Disney film "Tall Tale," Paul "Crocodile Dundee" Hogan in "Lightning Jack," and John Liguizamo in "Romeo &, Juliet" to name a few. Several other top names who've been Spangenberger's students include Charlton Heston, Ed Harris, Armand Assante, Jeff Goldblum, Richard Dreyfuss, and Rob Lowe. He's also doubled actors in close-up scenes involving gun handling sequences, such as in a commercial for the Disney cable where his hands did the fancy gun twirling for Disney CEO Michael Eisner, and in the 1990s "Untouchables" hit series.
