Morgan Horse Competitors

Morgan horses competing against other breeds in open shows or events are eligible for AMHA Open Competition Awards.  The program recognizes those Morgans excelling in these events.  Cowboy Mounted Shooting qualifies under Open Shows' General.

Requirements

1. Horses must be registered Morgans.
2.  Owners & riders must be AMHA members.
3. All Open Competition entries pay either an annual $15 fee per horse or a one-time $40 fee for the lifetime enrollment of the Morgan.  Morgans may be registered for the program at any time of the year.
4. Once Morgans are gistered in the program, their show results must be sent to AMHA within 30 days of the show.
5. Results must be submitted on AMHA entry forms.
6. AMHA will only accept results for the current year.  Forms must be complete.

Once on the website, go to 'Membership Benefits', then to 'Downloadable Resources' under Forms and Applications.  Forms needed:

(a)  Membership Application

 (b)  Open Competition Forms' using the following form: 2005 AMHA Open Competition Program Registration Form (This form will be used to register your Morgan horse(s) in the program.)

(c) 2005 AMHA Open Competition Program' Entry Form A   (This form will be used to report results 'WHICH MUST BE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE COMPETITION.)
